Dental films are non-screen film and thin sheets that show x-ray photographs of the teeth. It either exposes intraoral or extraoral images. These have different speeds from D-F. The higher the speed, the grainer image will be.

Intraoral dental films are small films, double emulsion films with no screens, backed with lead foil for patient dose reduction. These films come in different sizes. Size 0 is 2.2x3.5 cm, size 1 is 2,4x4cm, and 2 is measured 3x4cm. 

An extraoral film is larger, single emulsion, with image receptors or screen films. These panoramic films are in standard size of 15x30cm and 12x30cm.
