No Horror Show when Gorey come to Town!
Two defeats in their opening two games have put Halverstown behind the proverbial eight ball. A record breaking opening partnership of 180 for Leinster last week, took the game away from Halverstown almost before it had begun. A total of 285-4 was always going to be hugely difficult to chase down, but in fairness, we gave it an excellent try, making 241 from our allotted 40 Overs. This weekend presents another challenge  with the visit of Gorey to Brannockstown for the first time. Gorey were only formed back in 2015 and have gone from strength to strength since entering the league and this culminated in a League and Cup double last year which secured their promotion. They've played 3 games in the league so far, achieving home and away wins over Pembroke and in between fell to a 37 run defeat to Greystones. The weather is set to be cloudy with temperatures of 18c. The start time in Brannockstown on Saturday is 1pm.
