HALVERSTOWN RETURN TO PLAY PROTOCOLS
Please find below some of the key points from the Leinster Cricket Union rules for return to play:
PERSONAL
• You must be a paid up member of the club
• You must not be displaying CV-19 symptoms or have been in contact with someone who is
• Confirm to captain you do not have symptoms before travelling to club for game
• Must not have been out of the country in the past 14 days
• Bring your own water, food, sunscreen etc and take away own rubbish
CLUBHOUSE/ GROUNDS
• ArrIve already changed: changing rooms are closed
• Access to clubhouse will be strictly limited, but toilets open
• Sign in with details on arrival and wash/ sanitise hands
GAME
• Only T20 games allowed
• Use own equipment as much as possible, notably box, gloves, helmet
• Any shared club equipment to be sprayed after each use
• No handshakes and keep social distance of 2m apart throughout
• Batsmen run either side of wicket and step away from wicket between balls if keeper is up
• Bowlers do not give gear to umpire to mind
• Minimum contact with ball: return directly to bowler if possible, no use of saliva or sweat
• Do not touch face after contact with ball
• Club will have sanitisers at boundary, players carry own wipes
• Umpires to carry sanitisers and wipes for own use
BETWEEN INNINGS
• Wash/sanitise hands
• Retain social distancing of 2m
• No sharing food and drink
GETTING HOME SAFELY
• Wash/sanitise hands before leaving
• If anyone shows symptoms of CV-19 they must inform the club asap
